Pigsback - Free Gifts For Clicks!

I am not starting the old argument (Honest) but if Pigsback go down the road of only getting points if you buy stuff then why bother - you get better cashback rates for almost everything at the likes of Quidco - where you are also paid in cash and £10.80 earned gets you £10.80 back in cash rather than a voucher worth £8.75. Therefore as Pigsback are a successful business (in Ireland definitely) I don't see this happening
Hopefully they are just going to be replacing the quizzes with another form of points for clicks - I think I will be phoning them tomorrow to ask- so I will post the answer I receive from them on here

yay for Kazzea.
hopefully its just a tempory thing or a good replacement.0 -
Seems like what they are taking away with one hand they are giving back in the other. perhaps they can't or won't afford to give us up to 40 points a day with the daily quizzes and the advent calender.
I'm pretty sure if they stop giving out free daily points then the uk clickers will vote by not clicking on the site thus losing them revenueThere is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

Chill Out Everyone, I Think Its A P.g. Moment
I don't think anyone is slagging any one off. But when people are ordering rewards and not getting them when they have earned the points it is hardly fair. And personally think I am entitled to say something.
Yes it is free. And it is nice to get little extras like £10 in boots vouchers etc. But they should not promise what they can't deliver. I believe from the referrals board that a cashback site has hit the wall. What is to stop the same happening to PB because they seem to not be getting it right in the UK.
These sites rely on getting people on to the site to look and buy. But if you don't offer a little sweetner then people are not going to use the site at all.

Kazzea wrote:Yes - you are supposed to allow them 14 days to arrive so in your case this date has come and went a while ago. You can email them on postmaster@pigsback.com or curly@pigsback.com or use the contact us form which is linked to at the bottom of every page on pigsback (or do all 3 - I would). Surprise surprise they underestimated the popularity of the vouchers (again) which is probably why yours are taking so long
Thanx for all your advice. It seems i was too hasty as they arrived this morning. :j0 -
Hi, folks!
Just a quick word as I am on a borrowed PC ...
Have been keeping up with your comments, and am very sad to see the loss of our daily points. Wish I could say I was surprised that Darragh hasn't been back, but I didn't think it would last. I thought, and still think, that he was here to glean info rather than to play a genuine part in users' enjoyment of the site. He almost said what he really felt in one of his lasts posts:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1147396#post1147396
That post makes interesting (re-)reading ... And we should bear in mind that Darragh is the Communications Editor for Pigsback UK and Ireland. He is a very, very good communicator of info he/the company wants to put out. He is remarkably quiet on other info. (That's how it always is, with pretty well most companies, so is not a direct criticism of Darragh!)
I'll say no more as criticism of PB offends some people, but really, we should be looking at this company with eyes wide open, and without looking through rose-tinted specs!
I do hope that points-earning opportunities are fully resurrected after the festive season, or, as others have said, there's really no point in visiting the site.
Thanks to everyone for recent links, answers, etc. Also thanks to peeps who have made kind remarks.
JuB, could you re-send your PM in a week's time please? I'll be at home then and will have a bit more time to answer your question, if you still need the info!Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

Have emailed Pigsback saying how disappointed I am and saying that instead of visiting daily I'd only visit once a week at most. OH has also emailed them saying the same thing. Probably won't get either a response or have an effect, but you never know.
There's only so much stuff that I need and want to buy from CD-Wow (don't buy from the other sites). Can also usually get that stuff at the same price from other sties. So, if they are gone for good (and I will wait to see if pigsback bring something back) then there is no longer any point for me to use pigsback. My OH thinks the same. He's also posted on the pigsback forums!
In the past I have liked pigsback, but for me they've gone too far this time. I'm sorry if other's don't agree and i hope you still get use out of pigsback, but its certainly of little or no use to me now. I will now use Quidco from here on in....got £80 pending already on that site (only joined this month)Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
