    I can only echo what backflip has said. Bleepingcomputer is an excellent site. Of the first order. It is staffed by experts from all areas.

    noahdfear is the expert author of this fix and it does work. The only thing you need to download is the smitRem file he specifies. That file is free.

    If you are being hit by things "to buy" something is not working right.

    Try the fix again (I suggest you print out nohadfear's instructions for ease of reference). If it still doesn't work download HiackThis, scan your PC with it then copy & paste the resulting Notepad logfile report to this thread.

    I'll have a look at it to see what's causing your difficulties.

    a great big thanks this seems to have now sorted out the problem.. i hadnt read it all properly and had not downloaded what i was supposed to do so will learn for another time .. this was doing my head in and stopping my enjoyment of my pc and also my daughters so again a great big thanks and :xmassign:
