I have tried a few times this evening to call them, but all you get is a recorded message stating that due to unforeseen circumstances their call centre is closed. Is this a sign of the credit crunch?
My broadband sim card is not recognised by the network and it is only 2 weeks old. It worked pefectly when i first got it on the 1st of October but then I did not use it again until last night. It is as if has been disconnected. Tried it in my phone but no signal bars either.
Unfortunately call centre not operational at present so no answer and we away for the next few days which is why I bought the mobile broadband package.

Might be, BUT i think they are flooded with 1 pounds itemised billing screams and complaints OR they are learning new scripts.

    ................

The message you get does state why they can't answer (technical difficulty). There is no mention in the message of the call centre being "closed".

Yesterday afternoon we experienced a problem with the connection to our contact centres. This was caused by a digger cutting through a cable in the Docklands area of London and meant many of our advisers could not take calls. We are now back up and running and are really sorry for the trouble caused to our customers. – from a 3 employee.

    What customer service?

They took the wrong amount from my bank (far too much, needless to say).

The cs apologised for their mistake and agreed it was entirely their fault, then told me they cannot refund the money ("the system won't allow it").

Then told me to get the bank to make an indemnity claim against them under the direct debit guarantee!

If only the cable had been cut when I rang, I could have phoned the bank in the first place and used 45 minutes of my life on pleasure!

ROFL, this reminds me when i terminated one of my '3' contract 2 years ago and they demanded through the bailiff the last month contract fee just because their system don't take money for the last month of the contract!
