    Researcher,

did you get sorted out and if so did you get a good deal?

The place i wanted to stay ended up being fully booked and is not now available until end of Feb, so i am looking at early March flights now.

Sadly had to put trip on hold due to family illness - but, I've still been looking and I think you'll get flights for under £400 - DaisyLondon is right, try her suggestions and as I suggested before ebookers - their fare alert worked well for me.

Gulf Air flights now available Heathrow - Bangkok from around £333 return (including tax). I've checked and they are there if you want them. Available for dates between 20th Feb - 31st March. Lots of websites have them including

    www.ebookers.com

Sadly I've just started a project so I can't take advantage of them. :(

The Gulf flights involve 2 stopovers on the way back (I've looked into those!)

Both Thai and Eva Air have got flights for about £415 and they flight direct.

Ethihad has flights for about £380.

In terms of booking, I would suggest booking with Expedia (via something like Quidco). Why Expedia? They don't charge a CC booking fee, while Ebookers, Travlocity, Opodo, etc all do.

    Hello all,

i have had to put this off for a while as i have now sold my house.

I am now wanting to go on the evening of 13th April or v.soon after this.

I am still wanting between 14-21nts.

Is it worth waiting until Monday to see what these B.A sale prices are like?

I really would prefer Manchester unless i can find a cheaper way of doing it by using a budget airline to do huy, lba or dsa to lhr or lgw.

I have decided to use Bangkok airlines for my Bankok to Koh samui sector.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Air Asia don't fly to Samui. Only Bangkok Airways.

I have a flight booked and was planning to be in Thailand(with some time on Samui) around the 17th of April. Donnie and Donna going to Thailand.

Anyway, I'll probably change my flight and leave a couple of weeks later.

The first and last flights of the day are the cheapest on Bangkok Airways. Approx. £36 each way. There a £4.50 airport tax on leaving Samui and a £7.50 airport tax on leaving Bangkok Airport.

It is possible to check yourself and your luggage all the way through to Manchester from Samui, if you're flying with an eligible airline. That way you avoid having to pay the Samui airport tax and having to carry your luggage from the Bangkok Domestic Terminal to it's International Terminal.

Amongst the cheapest good quality airlines from Manchester will be Qatar Airways. As far as I know, there are no direct flights.

    Any questions?
