N5 8G - changing cover problem

hi
i bought a new cover for my N95 8g - i can change them no problem, but when i lift the original cover away from teh phone there is a bit (the bit you put to your ear to listen to the conversation) which seems to come away with the cover?
the replacement covers dont have this bit and i was wondering if my hand set is faulty - i have only had it for a few weeks.... anyone know out there?

Are you talking about the silver mesh? or the actual speaker? (as oppose to the loudspeakers on both sides)
