unless you live in the middle of nowhere who really needs home start?
a basic package to get you from the motorway will be more than adequate. (in a reasonably serviced car).
if you live in an urban area it would work out cheaper to get a taxi for most in the eventuality of a non starter, and get it looked at later.

Homestart will take your car to the nearest garage. A garage will charge you for coming out and getting the car, unless your planning on asking the taxi driver for a tow?
  • admin fees are fine

other wise i would just take out new car insurance policys every 2 weeks and never pay a penny
  • Hi savemoney

Is there anyway I can change my username, do you know, or do I need to rejoin?

    Thanks

no you get the taxi to work when you get up in the morning and find your car wont start, then when you get home later get a friend (providing you have some ) and get them to tow you.

Homestart can sometimes only cost a few quid extra on top of your annual cover; so it may be worthwhile for some... particular those who have no firends with tow-bars! :)

well thats why you have the lowest breakdown cover, it gets you off the motorway.
if your going to tow the car to a repair centre then you could get it to somewhere local rather than using the motorway. :D
