Banned from Tesco - 'Misusing Coupons'
Comments

I use the same vouchers once a week but that isn't going against what their policy allows!
Surely they need a 'fair' reason to refuse to admit and serve me?0 -
But once a week for how many weeks?
Fair-well in theory yes,but in practice it is private property they can ban who they want.0 -
For the last two months or so...
Surely, if a policy of theirs is to allow customers to use coupons like this, they cannot ban a customer for just doing that?
They won't even give me the reason for it.... surely this isn't fair?0 -

How did you use the vouchers for anything but the product they were meant to be used for? Bad system implementation by Tesco if you ask me...
Either way, you know you shouldn't be buying other stuff with these vouchers. It's flippin plain as day.Savings

How do you get so many coupons for the same item? Was it from magazines?:hello:  please play nicely children !0

The tesco policy states that:
1) Internet Coupons are allowed
2) You can use a manufacturer coupon (such as Mitchum) even if you do NOT buy the product, as long as it's in stock
3) You can buy ALL of your shopping using coupons as long as they are all DIFFERENT, and of course in date and stocked by Tesco.
The policy goes against what we would naturally think, that is why I feel their is the confusion but surely the staff should be briefed properly!!! :mad:JimmyTheWig wrote: »I am slightly confused about what you bought and what coupons you used.
Were the coupons for the items you purchased?
If not, I would suspect that you have broken the rules and that you are not allowed to do this. The fact that you did it at a self-service checkout suggests that you were trying to avoid human intervention.
Fair enough it doesn't say don't do it. But neither does it say don't take an axe to the cash-box and take the money out of it.
Do Tesco have a published policy to say they take coupons when you don't buy the item? If not, I think common sense says that as a rule you can't. And if a cashier allows you to use them then it is goodwill, but to use them yourself is just pushing things a bit too far.
Saying that, I think the fact that the store manager refuses to talk to you is just not on. What exactly have they got to do that is more important than dealing with the banning of a customer?0 -
Where is it stated you can use the coupons on random items?Savings

See my post above for Tesco's policy. They allow it, as they get the money back for the Coupons that you use, so therefore still get your custom!

It's on the Discount Vouchers and Code board, it's called something like that...

they see it as Coupon abuse as you are using the same coupon multiple timesDailyClicker wrote: »I use the same vouchers once a week but that isn't going against what their policy allows!

They might be having alot of these coupons returned as unpaid.
Tesco and other retailers reserve the right to choose who they serve0
