Banned from Tesco - 'Misusing Coupons'

Hey,

Just wanted a bit of advise. I used two coupons, both different around a week or so ago to pay for a purchase in Tesco's but a Checkout Team Leader came over when I was scanning the coupons, wasn't happy, stormed off and told me to never come back again.

I have been in recently, and nearly the whole store is aware of that I am banned.... so clearly the manager or that team leader has briefed everyone

I have spoken to the Store Manager, and Head Office, and neither are really helping. Head Office are saying I did nothing wrong, and that I need to speak to the Store Manager, who never has 'time' to speak to me.

Can anyone one think of any other reason for the ban?

I believe Igloo had the same problem, but was more severe.

What's the best way with me to deal with this, as it's quite upsetting :(

Thanks

Something must have been up more than you're saying. What coupons were they and what did you use them for?

HOw do you know nearly the whole store is aware you are banned?
Can you ever use 2 coupons for 1 purchase?

Why didn't you go to the cs desk and enquire what was going on at the time?
  • I believe it was the Mitchum £1.50, and Heinz 20p voucher.
I couldn't believe the way she came over, couldn't have been her day.
I didn't make a fuss, and just left the shopping, and walked out.

Yes it was 2 coupons for 1 purchase, but I thought that was permitted?

CS keep on calling the store manager, who hasn't got time to discuss it. =(

Was it self service tills? Don't some of them say you can't use coupons? I know Asda does, not sure with Tesco?
  • I bought some A4 paper, and a drink, using the Mitchum Deodarant and Heinz coupons, which is allowed.

I've never noticed the sign on there before!

So I haven't got a clue what I have done, and nobody wishes to let me know either...
  • Just bad mouth Tesco to everyone about it. Post on a few forums. To a big business like that, bad publicity is a cancer. Not a good time in the economy to be losing customers really, for the sake of a few pounds.

Rubbish, people (Taxiphil on here being one who even has a website devoted to it) have done that for years, they've ended up the UK's biggest retailer!
  • The coupons greatly helped my shopping costs.... but unfortunately I am probably gonna have to put up the extra cost and shop elsewhere.

Shame thought, that they can't keep to their policy, or even let me know what I did wrong.

There must be some confusion, that I'm not aware of, they might have had a lot of problems with coupons recently and blaming it on me, but of couse cannot say that direct to me....

Only thing I can think of, but it's not a good feeling that I have been banned for something that I haven't done wrong.

You haven't answered how you think all the store know this-unlikely.

Have you been using these Mitchum vouchers very regularly then?
