How long did you wait for your DLA decision?

Specifically on your initial application?
I've only waited 3 weeks but am getting restless already!

If I remember correctly after you send in your DLA forms you receive a letter that they have received them. On that letter it says if you haven't heard anything after 8 weeks to phone them.

If you are concerned telephone them and ask what the situation is with your claim.

10 days for a first timer is pretty impressive. I won't stop watching my letterbox just in case!

You may well have another 10/11 weeks to wait, have they written to say they have received the application, and if you gave details of your GP for medical report have you let him know to expect a request from the DLA?
