Hey guys
I will be heading to Canada for 3 months in January, obviously I am not happy with taking my UK sim card as the money on it would probably disappear as a connection charge!
I am looking for something that would allow me cheap calls and SMS messages to be sent FROM Canada back to the UK.
I wanted to know what would be the best sim card to maybe pick up out there? I currently have a Pay-as-you-go sim and not a contract tariff my phone is UNLOCKED.
Also if anyone from the UK knows a fantastic deal for Canada --> UK mobile comms I will give you a pork-pie for Christmas if you tell me! LOL
(I would probably be better to pick up a calling-card) but the info would be greatly received!

i was living over there for a few months earlier this year.
i ended up getting a pay as you go sim with Rogers... there one of the few national companys over there. international texts were cheap 20c ~8p! although i can't remember what the call charges were.
http://www.shoprogers.com/store/wireless/services/payasyougo/overview.asp?shopperID=WQEVRLK3UM0X8MDQ4GLRRG8RAEU22HBF is worth a look, things seem to have changed a little since i was there.
The Pay as you go sims are not as cheap as they are here, there about £10 and no free credit
Pay as you go is like the old UK system... you have to use your credit with in 30 days so all i did was put $5 on at a time (this can be done through there website - although it doesnt like UK visa debit cards... mastercard credit cards work fine though)
just a note: over there they dont call the companys mobile/cell companys, they call them self "wireless" companys0
