There were only 3 items that you could use for the paying with points deal when I got it on oct 14th
I never noticed that offer in any of the stores i go to, so i wonder if it was maybe a trial run in some stores
Personally, i love the idea of an incentive or offer for paying with points. Sometimes there's nothing worse than paying with points, knowing you're not earning points on the purchase or able to use vouchers so something like this softens the blow somewhat. I know that technically my purchase is free when paying with points, but somehow i still never feel like im getting the best deal :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
snipped..
On a side note, Superdrug now has the Moxie feminine protection products. These are adorable, and come in cute striped boxes with matching reusable tins. The prices are comparable to other products. As much as I hate to endorse that place for various reasons, it's the only place I know of that carries these. I've already lost the receipt, but it was something like 1.49 for pantiliners (24 in two cute little tins), that amount or less for tampons (16 in two cute tins, and I will just refill them with boots brand later, lol), and I think the pads were 1.25 and came with a tin that was deeper than the kind we were getting free with pads at Boots earlier this year -- this tin was deep enough to put in a pad and a couple of tampons and/or some tabs of paracetomol w/codeine if you're someone who likes all the essentials at hand, lol.
I've read somewhere that they are exclusive to the shop that shall remain nameless0 -

Oral B triumph toothbrush (reduced from £109 to 54.99)
Used 1500 points, and 2 different £5 vouchers off when you spend £30 on electrical.
Sitting gnashing my teeth now at my lack of planning - that won't do them any good....
Enjoying catching up on everyone's shopping lists!0 -
I've found that if you just scan the Pinky and SS without pressing Finish and Pay then they go in the slot fine, it doesn't seem to need to recognise them. For ACM points vouchers the Finish button does need to be pressed.
Got Brush foundation for 50p (ss and pinky) and with 700 points back (200 and 500 ACM vouchers scanned fine) - did this twice, pleased as my points had gone down to nearly 0 as I hadn't been to Boots much since the TS 1p glitch ended!
I think we need to get together for some SS till training days! I read all the hints ad tips on here and they're really helpful, but as soon as I get to my Boots with SS tills, my mind goes blank, my confidence goes out of the window, and I don't dare even approach the SS tills. Keep meaning to try them on something non-glitchy, but there seem to be so many steps to the simplest of transactions, so many screens to go through/choices to make/options buttons to press.... I must be braver!0 -
SOAP AND GLORY POINTS DEAL
Can confirm beyond doubt that on the 14th of October, that this deal was definately working then.
The deal was (not sure if still running?!) pay for items from a selected range of Soap and Glory with points to get 1/3 off.
The three items advertised were:
Body Butter 666 pts (think was righteous?)
Exfoliating body 444 pts or could have been 433??? (think was body buffer?)
Wash 333 pts (think was clean on me?)
Also if you spend over 1500 pts you got/get the current GWP free as advertised.
My bill was 2 x exfoliating wash, 2 x wash, gwp 15xx points and it was advertised on a completely different stand away from the usual display.
So erm, not sure if still working, but actually you were better off paying with points lol
Ooooh good. I am off to Dewsbury tomorrow, so will ask the cute little lady SA if the 1/3 off is still running. Will ask her to check for me, if not, will just get her to put the points back. I will try again on Monday in Leeds, with another cute SA, will have to find one first. *** The Bulgaria or whatever perfume, is it available in store with the 1000 extra points too? If so, moi is getting it. God knows why, but I have a points fetish and I just want to collect, collect, collect! I did this last time round with Tesco and amassed like 20000 points. HELP! You should have a look at my room. Bags of BOOTS products all over both bunk beds, all over the floor and everywhere else too. I'm addicted! *** Also, how do you guys get the 250 points for prescription to work? I tried it 3 x today and all the SA's said you have to do it at the pharmacy counter. How do you get around this? I want my extra points!0 -

No you get the 1500 points automatically for spending over £75, then you have to chose whether to use the 750 or 1000 point code depending on your spend. Only one promotional code can be used online at a time.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Evening all. Hoping one/some of you can help me out....
