  • Hi
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but just got an e-mail from Boots with the offer of a Ruby & Millie make up set at half price, now £25. But unbelievably it's also on 342 so got 3 for £50 and managed to get 1196 points too. That's 3 decent girlie Christmas presents sorted for around £11 each.

  • Sorry to ask a stupid question (haven't been able to keep up with the thread recently!) - I saw people were getting the No7 light up mirror using a pinky and the £5 mailing voucher - does anyone know if this still works? Sorely tempted if it does! Many thanks for any help

    Hey all :hello:

Just wanted to run my shop for next week by you all, to see if this will work as I am using SS tills :o Not for the first time but certainly for the first time using both pinkies, and ts :D I will be doing these shops one after the other, is this generally a good idea or will the SS till go in to melt down? Plus won't be going till next week so I am gonna get No7 GWP (hopefully)

What you do think guys? Will it work? Can I do it? Any more help/tips/words of wisdom for the day? :D

    God, I hope it does :j :j :j :j

Sound really good, I've used the SS till for 3 consecutive transactions, no problems.
It does take some organisation though!
After each transaction I pick up the carrier bag, put in the receipt, then tie the top. Don't leave it on the platform thingy or it will shout at you and not let you do the next one.
Is there any consensus yet as to when it is better to scan the pinkie/ts? I tried straight after the items before the 'finish and pay' and it worked really well, a lot better than when I've done it after the 'finish and pay' when it recognised them but then seemed to freeze. I think the points and manufacturers coupons have to be done after 'finish and pay'

    £8, £7, [STRIKE]£6[/STRIKE], = £15, pinkie, ts, = £5 to pay :j
  • Hi all,

I have accumulated some pinkies and till spits which I don't think I am going to use. I would really like to swap for the PC vouchers £5 off a £25 spend or 500 points on a £15 spend.
    Please pm me.

Did this nearly 2 weeks ago, I think I've seen on the thread people still doing it, looks like Mrsbluebear might be doing it next week. Others have used the ts as well to get it for £4.99. Hope it works!

Had a bad first shop on ss tills yesterday :( Drove over half an hour to the shop with ss tills after oh finished work, got there with 10 mins til the shop shut as we got a little lost:eek: Thought id grab a drink and pantene to test using vouchers. Scanned the stuff and it was fine, wouldnt let me scan vouchers before pressing finish and pay! Then i scanned £2 pantene and put it in slot and it needed authorisation! Waited ages for someone to come over (oh went and got someone in the end) The woman said to the male sa that totals a bit low for all that? (only 2 x coke and 2 x pantene!) It was £2.49. I explained i used a £2 coupon and she said that was fine. Then i used 200 points pantene and it needed authorisation again! Male sa oked it but was too scared to use my £1 pantene coupon! Must be set up to need authorisation after every coupon :( They were shutting the ss tills down so we just went home :( (oh not very happy with me!)
Im so disappointed, ive got shedloads of good vouchers, £4/£5 olay x 4, 600 points olay x 3, £2/£1 pantene x 8!, 200 points pantene x 2, £5 wys £20 no 7 etc. All wasted now :( Had about 6 great transactions planned, spending approx £16 and getting nearly £60 in points! Would have really helped towards xmas as we're so skint and wanted the no 7 gwp for ohs birthday on the 9th. (and lusting after the r&m i writer and lip gloss for me:rotfl: )
    Ah well :(
where did you get so many coupons from?

Had a think, it might be best to do the mirror separately, it is big and bulky and I got myself into a right kerfuffle trying to get it into a bag and dropping shopping lists, vouchers and bits right, left and centre. You don't really want to be calling too much attention to yourself when trying out the glitches!

Not sure if this has been tried previously or not, but I can confirm that pinky & TS worked on this: 10076778?wid=200&hei=250&op_sharpen=1, it costs £15.

I also bought got the Amazon Christmas bag set (£15), the Med Christmas bag set (£15).
3 for 2 took the total to £30, and then used pinky plus TS, so total to pay was £20 :D
Not a massive bargain, but handy as my sister has asked for the Amazon and Med sets so have been looking for a way to get them a bit cheaper. She will love the perfect eyes set as well :D
Alternatively, you could buy the perfect eyes set alone using pinky & TS for a fiver
Edit- .com seems to have got the same piccy for the perfect bright eyes, and perfect natural eyes- the natural eyes has lovely shades of brown, plus a white and a shimmery black.
