Well it's been a slow start for me today.
Here's my plan:

Look for a job!
Check my ebay items
Have a NSD day
Use up food that's near to sell by date.
Wait for JSA (tomorrow) and my one day of wages (Friday)0 -
Afternoon all...
Could you all please leave telling your wrong text tales till I've finished my lunch? Just sprayed crumbs all over the keyboard at the text Sophiesmum got! Poor KT, at least he didn't take it the wrong way!
My fabulous Mum and Dad took little one off my hands at 1pm - they are off taking him to Westonbirt to play in the tree's. So I'm free free free.....till I have to go to work at 4pm!
Heres my list today anyway:
* My Mum gave me the following today......potatoes, jacket spuds, a mahoosive bag of sprouts, sausages, ravioli, bananas, bread and eggs. All from waitrose no less.....bless her cotton socks!
* Check bank account :eek:
* Washing on line...not sure if its drying but hey ho!
* LIsting things on ebay - including a brand new football shirt courtesy of my Dad
* Had some hand cream delivered in post (competition win) just as mine had run out so thats fab:T
* Chase BT for refund
* Make cakes
And thats it...am off to quickly hoover and then put feet up

Good afternoon all! Feeling bit low and grotty today...but this thread has cheered me up no end!
Fay - I am so jealous of your socks..even if they aren't really yours!
KTjazz - I get call paranoia...I always check my phone hasn't accidently called anyone before I speak about anything remotely juicy/gossipy. When I was about 18 I was at college with a group of my friends telling them all sorts of details about my boyf (ahem!) Little did I realise however that my mobile had accidently called the boyf's house phone from inside my bag and his mum had heard every word!
Didn't dare go to his house for about a month afterwards!
She found it hilarous though and still does...I'm marrying the said boyf next year!
Today I have/will:- Been to work
- Had packed lunch
- Home working this afternoon as feel bit rubbish
- NSD
- Online banking
- Browse ebay for xmas presents for OH and dad
- Birthday tea for my mum tonight at my auntys
Joint debt with OH at LBM Sept 08 (excluding mortgage & student loan) - £34,069 :eek:

Is the rent a room scheme something official?
From HM revenue and customs site:
The Rent a Room scheme
If you already have a lodger or are thinking about letting furnished rooms in your home, you can receive up to £4,250 a year tax-free (£2,150 if letting jointly). This is known as the Rent a Room scheme.
Tax free income sounds good to me;)0 -
Not much today, except...
1. Chasing the travel agent for a refund on our holiday which we've cancelled.
2. My car is due for it's MOT tomorrow and I have a feeling it won't be a good one!! OH went to three scrapyards this morning looking for some bits he thinks it might need and found them all, for the grand price of £1! :j Now we just have to keep everything crossed that tomorrow isn't toooo expensive!!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

On sending texts to the wrong people...
I once sent a text to my very straight laced German colleague telling him I loved him, missed him and and couldn't wait to be rude with him (intended for OH). The worst bit (if it can get any worse) is that I was going to the German office the next day. Anyway, he called immediately in a bit of a flap and asked if I was ill!!!!:o
Charming!
We never really got over it and I think he carries a bit of a torch for me now - totally unrequited of course!0 -
This has idled in page 4 for too long!!
Nearly had a NSD - story of my life - but ended up spending £1.10 at the library of all places on cds my DS was borrowing.
Managed a free lunch at work, ermm and that's it for today.
Glad to hear you are all sparklyish - will do my best to sparkle tomorrow
BelleGetting there...slowly!
GC : must do better
NSD: very rare
No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.0
