I do that minty... Or ideally iron while DH is around and make him my 'iron monkey' basically I sit (yes sit!) behind the ironing board and he passes me things to iron and hangs what I've already done... He is also in charge of pairing socks since he can't be bothered to unball them to put them in the washing, that's how they get washed...
Oh, and I can't remember last time DD wore matching pjs... And it would of been by chance... lolA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

There are four adult (ish) males in this house. I gave up pairing socks and just dumped each persons socks on their beds. Now they just wear random socks, it doesn't seem to have hurt anybody . In fact they even wear each others socks from time to time with no ill effects at all !
There are strict rules about the style of sock each person wears. DH (most recent arrival in family ) didn't understand the system at first and bought himself several pairs of plain black socks which of course disappeared because someone else is listed as 'Plain Black Socks' . DH is supposed to wear 'Small Pattern on Side ' socks. (There are also Coloured Toe' socks and 'Ribbed' socks) I wonder how people with even more sons cope ?
Me ? I stick to girly socks and they keep well away from them hee hee

One of the best time and money savers we have bought are hair clippers. £25 about 6 years ago has saved loads of money on three peoples haircuts never mind all the time and energy spent 'going to the barbers'. Middle DS saved even more by just not having haircuts at all ! His hair is now waist length and enviable !

What about the extra cost of shampoo and hair drying?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
We don't have ornaments, so don't need to dust.
DD wears 'play clothes' for mooching round the house after school - these are T shirts and jogging bottoms that are too small for her and don't need ironed. These live in a separate drawer so she knows which is which.(and can go get them herself!)
Order shopping online with a discount voucher - the voucher pays for delivery, the extra few quid makes up for missing out on any 'reduced' for sell by date items, and the van coming to us saves our petrol. Really though, it saves traipsing round the shops on a weekend listening to other folk shouting at their bored kids for misbehaving.
We have shrubs and trees in the garden borders so it only really needs trimmed once of twice a year, still a bit of work to do there as some parts that aren't covered in shrubs still need weeded.
Make more bolognese than needed, then freeze it, saves on power as it's only a 5 minute micro zap to reheat it, and saves on time too.
We keep an overnight toiletries bag purely for going away so we don't need to organise one each time we stop overnight somewhere.(Family live far away so visits are usually overnighters)
Make 2 days lunches in one go, saves using another chopping board the next day, put the sandwiches in the firdge so the fillings stay cooled.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
