You will need to contact them again and get the correct forms. I have read recently that Incapacity Benefit can be claimed over the telephone and they then send you the forms to check and return, you could try to do this.

I think you have to have some evidence that you are not fit for work before you can apply for incapacity benefit.

Am i missing something, You havent worked for a year, (is this because of ill health) and you are not claiming IB till now, or have you been claiming other benefits in the last year.

You have to get a sick note from the doctor before you claim.

You cant claim DLA until you have been on IB for quite a few months. so i would forget about that for now.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

DLA has nothing to do with Incapacity Benefit you can claim DLA regardless of IB or not!

i havent worked due to ill health and i havent clamined any benifits simply because i knew nothing about them.

i read you can get dla evern if your working or not claiming any other benifit at all are you sure you need to be on ib for so manny months it dosent mention this on the dla site.

i will get a sicknote from my doctor then although nowhere mentions to get one before hand.
