I would love to see someone eco-driving the 'reasonably priced car'
And strictly come dancing - some of the OSers could help you make your costumes...
If you're mulling over celeb apprentice, I'd say yeah why not...it's only a short time commitment and it does reach a different audience than some of the other tv commitments
BUT if it's celeb big brother/in the jungle type thing, no one ever comes out of this well, avoid like the plague!0 -
It's your life, you're entitled to do what you want and what you think you'd enjoy
It wouldn't fuss most of us either way

Stepping outside of one`s comfort zone is always adviseable - it is how we learn. That said. I think you would need to consider if taking on a "fun role" in something like a TV quiz show would diminish you in some viewers eyes. The help and issues that are dealt with on this site and your TV programme are inately serious - never more so at the moment.
Personally I would like to see more TV appearances along the line of a whole programme where you have helped people with a complete cash makeover, or along the lines of the Alvin Hall programmes. I often feel that too much is shoehorned into the It Pays To Watch programme and more depth on some of the items would be preferable in another programme. What about one aimed at teenagers - Embarassing money?Debt September 2020 BIG FAT ZERO!
Now mortgage free, sort of retired, reducing and reusing and putting money away for grandchildren...0 -
As long as its not something like 'celebrity big brother' then I would say go for it. Its good to branch out into different areas. Dont get me wrong I quite like watching celeb big brother but when you have no control over editing you never know how you may be made to look to the general public so its best to avoid such things.
I guess its a case of waying up the pro's and cons of all the offers you receive and then picking one that dosent make you look an ar*e and gives you the chance to show a different side to yourself and also gives you a bit of experience in other areas other than money saving.
You have given a lot of time and helped a lot of people so maybe its time to do something fun for yourself.0 -
Not everyone watches game shows or reality TV, so my thoughts on this would be that if you see these offers as real opportunities, ones that are financially and morally acceptable to you with regards to furthering your cause, then go for it. It could encourage a whole new audience and the proceeds could finance the next leg of your journey. It's impossible to keep everyone happy, no matter how hard anyone tries, so weigh up the pros and cons then make sure that the ultimate decision really is yours.I reserve the right not to spend.

I like the idea of doing abit on Blue Peter, get them money aware whilst young.
I'm forever trying to explain to my 5 year old that adverts are trying to make you want something you don't need, and you can only spend money once.0 -
I think the Blue Peter idea is great and also a programme about OS showing people how to stretch their money in a real setting would be fantastic - I don't just mean the financial advice regarding changing credit cards but actually giving recipes and household tips on reducing living expenditure.0

So do like a "Supernanny" type thing where you go into someone's house for a week. Spend the first day observing. Then tell them where they can save money and be there with them for the next few days to help them. Go round the supermarket with them and point out special offers that they've missed. Get them to use vouchers when going out for the day. Etc, etc.0 -
JimmyTheWig, There's ongoing programme research for something along those lines, but it's more contestant based rather than household and it's not just about cutting costs, there's a cash generating element too. I wonder if that's what it is?I reserve the right not to spend.
