i have spent my entire lunch hour in the bank - i sent a cheque to settle a loan but recieved a letter from the bank (after my cash machine balance showed it payed and i thought it was dealt with) to say the cheque was bounced as it did not match my sample signature (money claimed back)!! turns out the sig held on file was from when the account was set up when i was 10 yrs old!! the bank were nice and had not applied any charges and cancelled the check for free as there were suffucient fund to pay the cheque. i had to take an early lunch as the bank would have been to busy to deal with during the lunch time. i have also spent loads of time this evening talking to loan company (freephone from home phone) to sort out the problem and get them to accept a further cheque issued from the account!!
