  • We are having the same problem with the charges through going over our agreed averdraft. Once we realised that we had gone over we put money from another account to bring us back into the overdraft limit. We requested that they reduce the overdraft down from £1000 to £500 because we were trying very hard to get it down Lloyds did this and a week later after my husbands salary went in we had a letter from the bank to say we had gone over the overdraft again and this was down to £100. No letter or phone call no warning. I put a complaint in because again they charged £20 a day but we managed to keep within the £100 the next month but it caused hardship. What did they do? charged us another £200 charges and £12 interest which put us again over the limit. How can they get away with this? After a second letter and many phone calls to Lloyds (4 weeks) it is still not resolved. We now face another month of scraping by. They are saying it was time for a review and they decided on the £100 overdraft. The complaint is that they DID NOT TELL US and it is there fault we have paid all these charges.
  • I was unlucky to have no spare cash at the time or I would have put the money in the bank, I think that the CAB being involved will help no end as they will make sure that the LLTSB behave them selves and that everything will be in writting, they reccommend that any agreement over the phone must be put in writting by the bank otherwise we don't have a leg to stand on,
