I successfully reclaimed my bamk charges from Lloyds TSB :j
I have also now got my budget under control BUT:mad: LloydsTSB have got me in a ever increasing spiral of charges as each month There charges send me over my agreed overdraft, next months charges have gone over £200 already, I am going to CAB tomorrow as talking to collections I was told that I was spending to much money. operator said why did I pay N power £250 last month  I told them I had to pay for my energy bills he then told me off for wanting to feed the family HELP

I very much doubt that you were "told off for wanting to feed the family".
If I read this right, you had all of your charges paid back before and are now in the same position. Not quite sure what your question is.0 -
Muggleian, I think the best start would be to post an SOA (statement of affairs) which lists your income and essential outgoings. That way you can see where your money is going! You are obviously spending more than you think if you believe you have your "budget under control" but you are still incurring £200 of bank charges in a month! I presume if you have had to pay NPower such a huge bill you do not pay by direct debit? Lots of people find it really helpful to spread their payments over a year and have a budgeted amount going out each month. Do you have any of your utilities on direct debit or do you have to find the money every time a bill arrives? I certainly would find it hard to budget or manage my money that way.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

My problem is that Although all my out goings are met Lloyds-TSB put charges on my account that sent me over my agreed overdraft, I moved all my DD's and standing orders over to RBS so nothing goes out of my account ,even with NOTHING going out of the account Lloyds-TSB are charging me £20 A DAY and harassing me all the time, I have just been to CAB who agree that this is excessive and have agreed to take on my case.
ps I have been in arrears with power and others but have worked hard to get on top of situation even wrote Lloyds-TSB in September asking for help to stop charges as you can see they refused to help,0 -
Yes the Indian call centre operator Hitish did tell me off for withdrawing money from my accountI very much doubt that you were "told off for wanting to feed the family".

to buy food, my question is - is anyone else being penalised like me at £20 a day + what ever other charge they apply, when they have worked hard to get on top of there budget and see the light at the end of the tunnel suddenly dimming0

If you are over your agreed overdraft then yes, they will charge you PER DAY, you have to bring your overdraft back into the amount that has been agreed, then you will just be charged PER MONTH for the facility
You have to allocate some of your budget to paying off the overdraft then slowly over time
you need to post up your SOA so we can see what's going on with your budgetAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -
So do you mean that you no longer use the Lloyds account, but it has an overdraft and they are charging you £20 a day for being overdrawn while you have no money regularly going into that account?
Are you on a debt management plan or similar?? Surely the best way to deal with it is to request Lloyds to freeze your account and treat it as a debt that you repay in instalments. There are some DFW's who are doing their own DMPs who may have a template of a letter to send to Lloyds. Or the CAB may be able to help you with this.
If you have other debts or amounts outstanding to other utilities it may be worth speaking to someone at CCCS or Payplan and seeing if a DMP could help your situation. If all your creditors accepted small monthly payments and froze or reduced their interest/charges, that would help you get on top of things.
£20 a day is extortionate - I can't believe it's legal!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

What are these charges for? Are they because you have gone over your agreed overdraft or are they account management fees?
I dont quite understand why they are still charging you money if you don't owe them anything and are not even using the account.£10 per day Challenge (Oct)

I am confused. You seem to be saying that the bank's charges (which sound like unauthorised transaction charges) have pushed you over your agreed overdraft and so are now paying unauthorised fees??????0
