i wouldnt pay that much for a bachelor pad but then again it would be ideal for you, have you looked at Brighton i think you would get a lot more for your money, and i think you would enjoy the night life more.:p
its sounds like king and queen aint all that you have served, come back when you have bought your house i hope you get a cut price one for 50% maybe you should offer 75000 pounds for that flat????
So how much was the flat originally up for sale by you 300,000, dont make me laugh ,when the houses come down 10% by me i will come back and let you know.
I wouldnt live where you would live because its too poor, hehehehehe, why dont you take your ball and go and play on your own.

Stinking Singley
Grunts repent God is Armoured
Started saving oct 08 - so far saved £750.00
(trying for this each month) I have been enjoying life!
So with you large army salary and you nearly paying the top tax bracket you have managed to save 750 pound, now that tells me a lot about you.
If i was you i would try and save that 750 pound a month for the next 5 years, then when you leave you will get 3 times your salary which will be taxed, but you should walk out with about 100,000 pounds with your savings and then you have got your pension which works out £250 pound a week before tax.
I Just hope house prices dont go up in 5 years time, mind you if you save 750 pound a month for the next 3 years you should be able to get a 25% deposit for a house costing 200,000 pounds in 3 years time.
£750 pound x 32 months= £27,000 + £173,000 = 200,000 pound for a house, maybe it might be more depending on what you want?? I mean a 1 bedroom bedsit is 158,000 pounds by you, and you want a 2 bed roomed house, so maybe you might need a bigger mortgage
Oh I forgot to mention the £173,000 pound mortgage payments, will be £1,135 pound a month for 25 years.
I wish you good luck on your quest to get a house, but remember next time when you pipe in telling people they should drop their houses b 50% to do a bit of research on the area in which they live in, as we can all see house prices vary from regions.
I have always stated i dont mind dropping the price of my house 50%, but i just can not see the houses me wanting to buy dropping 50%, which means i would not be gaining, and i do not really want to over stretch myself financially.
good luck

And again I see your getting confused because at no time have i said house prices are coming down 50%...erm YOU did!
I would love to see where i said houses where coming down 50%, I said i wanted them too, and i said about if if they did, you tell me where or when i said houses are coming down 50%?????????qu I said that i would only need a 50% Loan of a house....which I'll beable to pay the rest off when I get my pension and LARGE lump sum when I get out of the Army in 5 years time. (Mortgage free and a FULL pension at 40 just think of that)
You will be Mortgage free if you want to buy a house for 100,000 poundAnd I really don't care where you live or if their dropping in your area, I know (because I'm watching it on rightmove and can PROVE it with again FACTS) that house prices are dropping where I live..thats down the SW of the country (you know the nice part)in the countryside.
Ive noticed in a lot of your previous posts you say to people you dont care about where they live or what they think, so do us all a favor next time read what people have said before you, if you cant be bothered to read before making stupid post's you might as well keep your trap shut!!!!
If i wanted to know why house prices are dropping 50% in you area, I would have asked that thats why i said BY ME NOT BY YOU!!!!!! in my original post.So you keep hoping to sell at that price knowing that every month that goes by (and your house becomes more worthless)I'll be putting another 1000 quid into a savings account.....oh and STILL not having to worry about gas or elec going up or my pension dropping.
I will drop mine with the trend and the prices of the other houses in relation to m own,And why do I need a house bigger than 2 bedrooms?? I have no intentions of going up to a bigger house. I'm single so have no need. I'll be happy with my nice 2 bed house in the country thank you.
Look by you a 1 bed roomed flat is 158,000 pounds, how are you going to be mortgage free on a 2 bed roomed property that will be well over 200,000 pound in 5 years time?
