That would be a wise move i could sell my 3 bed roomed house for 85,000 and then buy a 1 bedroom flat for me the missus and the three kids for 90,000

Like i said whats the point in me dropping mine when no one else is????

I will drop mine in proportion to what other houses do in the area, but to be serious it would be very silly, unless i was desperate, surely even someone of your limited intelligence can figure that out????

    confused

Well my limited intelligence as you put it, tells me not to sell my house when house prices are falling and continuing to fall (at the moment) so you must be very silly (as you put it) as you ARE selling your house when house prices are falling and have done for the past 11 months.

I'm buying (be it not till next year) a FTB at that AND will have over 50%LTV so not that limited intelligence now am I.

    No wonder your confused!

I think this is the sentence that has confused us, confused:

"I was hoping for these big drops but they just havent happened, i bought my house in 1999 for 70,000 pound and to be honest i couldnt afford much more than that if i was going to buy now."

It makes it sound like you couldnt afford to upgrade now. You didnt make it clear you were hoping to move upwards and use the equity in your present home. BTW, no need to be so aggressive

Nothing like a good old whinge, im just surprised that with all the posting and the news about house prices dropping, that nothing is happening by me.

I'm sure prices are falling very fast around you, just give us the first three letters of your postcode and we will do a rightmove search using property bee.

Absolutly everyone who has said prices weren't fallen in their area has been proved wrong via Property Bee or Property Snake.

I think it was quite obvious you was a first time buyer, with your wishful thinking of prices going down, its a shame if they havent yet and ity doesnt look like its going that way, as you may have to carry on renting.

As i am selling and moving upwards i will only gain, its people like yourself who think the markets going to fall 50% so you can get on the housing ladder are in for a big shock, even to get a 1 bed flat to get you started you will still have to have a big mortgage.

Or have you saved 50.000 pounds in the last few years, some people make me laugh.

the first 3 digits of my postcode is b76 and i cant find massive drops but if you can show me???

Yes thats true, I just had a go with my post code on property snake. And whilst the drops are very low compared with other areas - highest was 6% with one spectacular 15% on a new build house - they were there :) Its very interesting actually. Im having a good nose round.

Confused - just checked your post code and your area is similar to mine, with low drops. Have a look yourself on property snake. The highest drop shown is 9%.

ive tried a few areas just on that property snake, where i would not mind living around by me and its the same theres not many reduced even by 10%.

Theres a few reduced 4 and 6 % and they have been on the market for over a year..

I can find houses on there with over 40% drops but there not in the places where i would like to live, but i suppose if your willing to live anywhere, you can find that house, but to be honest the less desirable areas, and houses are going to be the first that make big drops.

Just dont look like theres going to be big 50% drops by me maybe 10% at most.

OOOh you are sore aren't you:D ...you see I stated a fact about house prices coming down for the past 11 months, not my wishful thinking. Your the one in denial not me.(I wonder if that is ONE of the reasons your house isn't selling??now there's a wonder!)

I'm one of those people that don't pay rent or gas or electric;) (well £50 pound a month) and before you cry no job scum etc etc I'm a Soldier:cool: and have been for 17 years, so far earning a bloody good wage(I'm not far of the higher tax band) with minimal outgoings:T

And again I see your getting confused because at no time have i said house prices are coming down 50%...erm YOU did! I said that i would only need a 50% Loan of a house....which I'll beable to pay the rest off when I get my pension and LARGE lump sum when I get out of the Army in 5 years time. (Mortgage free and a FULL pension at 40 just think of that)

And I really don't care where you live or if their dropping in your area, I know (because I'm watching it on rightmove and can PROVE it with again FACTS) that house prices are dropping where I live..thats down the SW of the country (you know the nice part)in the countryside.

So you keep hoping to sell at that price knowing that every month that goes by (and your house becomes more worthless)I'll be putting another 1000 quid into a savings account.....oh and STILL not having to worry about gas or elec going up or my pension dropping.

And why do I need a house bigger than 2 bedrooms?? I have no intentions of going up to a bigger house. I'm single so have no need. I'll be happy with my nice 2 bed house in the country thank you.

So I wish you well in selling your house and moving to a bigger one to pay more TAX more gas/elec to heat it etc etc just so you can stand there and impress yourself with the size of your house.:rotfl:

  • First of all ask yourself who started the post it was me you came in saying yeah drop it to 85,000 like someone said earlier.

obviously as you can see by property bee and property snake prove i am right, im not sore, the only thing that is probably sore is you ring piece having been in the army 17 years:D, but i suppose that is different story like i suppose your on about different houses to me.

If you dont like my post keep your but out of it, and start your own post, my original post was just stating the facts around by me, i aint bothered about whats happening by you.

now you have confused me, where are you looking for a house dream land?

For a man with a wife and 3 kids your very childish aren't you....and I told you(yep I read through my post again just to make sure) That i don't care where you live....I'm guessing its pretty poor area because your trying to sell your house for 155k because where I live (and will be buying next year) you couldn't buy a 1 bed flat for that (and i can promise you Salisbury is a very nice place to live)http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-10232100.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buy&mam_disp=true

So i guess you won't be moving here then as its a little out of your price range....and a little more grown up.

Least when I go to bed at night I can do so knowing I've served my Queen and Country (yep thats Idiots like you)....I wonder what you've done with your life? mmmmmmh I'm guessing not a great deal;) Oh and the gay ones in the forces are the Saliors......:D
