PAYG Sim cards.
O.K. This might seem like a dumb question. Can anyone explain all about PAYG sim cards ,please ?? Do they carry their own number ?? Do they come with minutes already on them ?? How do you top them up etc ??
I've always been on contract up to now. I've been offered some free 02 sims. Great for 'undercover' work ! lol
Anybody ??

Yes they come with their own number - althoughh you can transfer your existing number across (say if you want to move networks).
No they usually come without any credit on - you buy say £10 worth of calls at 8p a min (Asda PAYG) or 25p a min (O2) and these will last for months if you're an infrequent user.0 -
Some Orange PAYG cards come without a number and you have to register them with Orange who will allocate a number to you at that time.
Other Orange cards come 'pre-activated' but you need to top them up to find out what the number is!0
