We are genuine - I know it must seem strange that we don't have any revenue at the moment, but we want to generate some traffic before we look for an on-site advertising deal (a lot of traffic might mean a better deal, whereas no traffic would limit our choices).

Ahhh, you beat me to it! I was going to point out that it's quite common for new websites to give away something for nothing, as they can then use the site traffic statistics to prove to potential future advertising companies that their product will be seen, or it will prove that the website is a non starter!

Good luck with it! If you're open to criticism, then the blue text to the RH side of the page makes it look tacky and fake... the sort of thing they have on those web pages that end up spamming your email address!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Hi Pinkshoes,

Thanks for the feedback - I'll pass it on to our designer to consider next time we do a front end update.

Any other questions or comments are most welcome.

    Many thanks,

    The terms and conditions state

"20) Prizes will be awarded electronically using Paypal. To receive their prize, each winner must have a fully operational Paypal account capable of accepting payments from Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk). Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) takes no responsibility for any failure to deliver prizes, or deliver prizes in a timely fashion."

They might want to change these t&cs before someone reports them to the Institute of Sales promotion.
  • Hi Lilias,

    Thanks for the feedback!

All we were trying to do with the condition you specified was to explain that we can't take responsibility if for whatever reason your Paypal account fails to accept the prize from ours - or accept it in a timely fashion.

We're not trying to absolve ourselves from delivering the prizes - however thanks for pointing out that the way it is termed is ambiguous, we'll look into rephrasing it to make it more clear.

If anyone has any further questions or comments please do respond.

    Thanks again,

Just curious, I don't have a Paypal a\c, but for accepting a prize, why would I need any a\c details??

Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.
  • Hi Marleyboy,

    Thanks for your question.

I'm not sure I know exactly what you mean - but if you're asking why you'd need a Paypal account, it's because that's that way in which we have elected to deliver our prizes.

We've chosen Paypal because they're popular and well respected, have the capacity to deliver prizes worldwide and you can sign up for a personal account for free.

The only Paypal account details we'd ask of you if you became a winner would be your Paypal account email address, so we could pay the money to you.

I hope this has answered your question, but if not then please do respond.

    Many thanks,
