Mobile technophobe needs help!

Options
Sorry, I've tried looking through the threads but they baffle me.

My husband is changing jobs. He previously had a company owned mobile on an orange contract. He has been told he can keep one of the phones (nokia 6310) that have been upgraded however it doesn't have a sim card (obviously). I'm on T mobile PAYG (I use approx £10 per year!!) and I have a spare sim card that came with my newest phone. Can we use this sim card in the phone he's been given?? If so what would we do to make it work??

:santa2:

Yes you can use the SIM in the phone. However, the phone may be locked to the Orange network and if so it will need unlocking. You can follow the threads on this site to find out how to do that. Nokia phones are relatively easy to unlock.

You will then need to put the new SIM card in and register it on the network.

Follow the link to this site to help you with the unlocking process. That is, assuming that your Orange handset is locked. It may not be, so first, try it with your working TMobile SIM and see if it is possible to make a call.
