The Nokia service centre I dealt with was pretty good
I'd taken a good few phones there for repair, if your a nokia club member they will give you a loan phone while yours is repaired.
On one occasion I took a nokia 3510 there for repair and when I went to pick it up they had lost the battery, chap just pick a new genuine still packed one off the shelf and handed it to me with the phone.
Sometimes they will ask you to come back in a few hours, other times it maybe a day or longer. Basically if they can't repair it in thier servcie centre it will be sent back to nokia for repair of replacement.Welcome, rogerramjet.

you should fill in a form at a repair center when you bring it in - put a note on it of any marks (or that there are no marks) on the form.
they will fix it if its not liquid/customer damaged. if they cant they will send it to nokia who will repair/replace.
have you dropped it as this is a common cause of quiet speakers?
easy to replace but warrenty will be invalid if they see youve been inside so let them try 1st.
not always very quick though if it goes to nokia0 -
nope havent dropped it, only a week old refurb from 02 site, when i phoned nokia they said the refurb bit doesnt affect warranty. if i look on the net a lot of these 3230 handsets have got very low volume.Fr. roger, what faults did your phones have so i can get an estimated waiting time for my problem? when i phoned nokia the bloke didnt seem to know what he was talking about at all, i had to tell him it was probably a firmware problem which is strange considering the net is full of forums saying the old firmware on a 3230 is buggy. i reckon they might say well this model does have low volume, nothing we can do..we'll see.Fr. I've taken loads to a service centre...some of my own some of mates...they have ranged from just software problems (locking up) to not turning on. The software problems have been a few hour turn around, others slightly longer about 2 -3 days while waiting for parts. The only two they had to send away was the one mentioned earlier and a 6310i which had gone in with a software fault and the flash didn't work which stopped the phone working.
At the end of the day, Nokia has a reputation and cannot afford it tarnished in this day and age....a few years ago they wouldn't have been bothered, but the competition has improved and nokia are no longer dominating the mobile phone marketWelcome, rogerramjet.
