I do lots of fairs and pamper evenings and I use them to get new contacts, I se the candle survey and talk to everyone who approaches my table, this gets orders, parties & sponsors so use it wisely.

I would take some products along to get people to the table, and I also wrap a couple of tealights up in clear flower wrap and sell them for £1, or get a box and empty all your wax you have lying around and sell mix n match (any 2 tealights for 50p any 2 votives £1 etc etc), this gets people who have never used PartyLite to try our products and I always get their details to phone and see how they got on with the candles.

Hope this helps and good luck!

I totally echo everything that Candlegirl says . Also it is vital that you follow up every lead you have from these type of events by a phonecall etc , but do not be put off if you don't get any bookings immediately . Ive had bookings sometimes up to a year later from when I first met them and just from being patient and calling back when they say and keeping them upto date eventually pays off. Some of my best hostess's have come from events which I had felt at the time were a complete waste of time . Expect to cover your table cost on sales of tealights etc and anything else is a bonus , go for everything. It's not just customers you meet , often you can get other leads for events and important contacts by talking to other stall holders. If you go regularly enough to events other store holders may hold party swaps for you . This is a good way to get into new circles.
  • Hey Candlesrus - where were you at the weekend? Why were you and Liz not at the leader meeting???

Liz was at the leader meeting , I had the kids at the weekend ( took them away at half term) so couldn't go. Liz said it was fantastic and I love the new summer stuff . I can't believe how thick the summer catalogue is and everything is new , nothing repeated from last year.

I would love to go to National conference , but Ive got to look after the kids while Liz goes ( not fair lol) , never mind . I did get to go to the extravaganza though and even won an S pod

I can't wait for conference and I'm taking my husband this year - don't think he quite knows what he's in for...lol... mind I don't think he'll be there much for the actual conference - he'll go for a wander round the shops and bars nod oubt since we're now in town.

I have never won anything in the drum raffle draw things...never... :(

Seeing about 1000 women all dressed up in the most rediculous fashion including the most outrageous costumes , dingle boppers and standing on chairs and whooping it away all weekend , is a sight I just don't want to miss out on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Ha ha , Liz is always moaning at me when I refer to her "happy clappy club" meetings lol. Mind you the atmosphere there is electric and it does look like fun although I think there could be a little bit more testosterone amoungst the huge swimming pool of oestrogen if you know what i mean lol:kisses:
  • Its an experience never to be missed!

    I am so excited :j

The only thing is we won't be able to stand on our chairs as its cinema style seats :rotfl:but I am sure we will find others ways to party:D
    I get paid to party!:rotfl:
