The trips Jenny are amazing , last year we went to Malta and it was our first trip. I was expecting a nice package holiday . How wrong I was!!! When we arrived at the Hotel we were met by Sandra and then went straight into a champagne reception . My Jaw just dropped . The Hotel was out of this world and the reception was on the terrace overlooking the pool and the sea. It was stunning. The whole trip was like this ... including a five star Gala dinner complete with our own guards dressed up in suits of armour!! The food and company were just out of this world. PartyLite really know how to spoil you, you are literally treated like royalty. There was also plenty of recognition and awards like jewelry and certificates etc. Hong Kong is this year trip in May and the hotel looks right out onto HK harbour , a perfect place to watch the skyscaper light show that happens every everning .There will also be a day trip accross the border into China for shopping. We are determined to make it this year because we know now what to expect. It's well worth working towards and a real incentive to get parties booked and sponser. What I like about P/L is that everyone has the same chances of getting on trip . No matter where you are in the company you have the same criteria to meet , so even the RVP's and SRVP's still have to get the right number of points to get their places. My friend is a co-ordinator for another direct sales company , and they only reward the top 100 in the company and these are exactly the same people every year who end up going on the holidays ( Hardly an incentive to the rest of the company is it?). Last year on the Malta trip with P/L there were at least 30 people who were 1st time trip achievers , which was really nice to see, It makes you realise that you are working for a really good company0

Had my starter party tonight - although I only had 2 guests I think it was a success. I did it myself, my friends were impressed and gave me really good feedback so I am feeling much more confident as I have already gained a lot of knowledge.
I have another party tomorrow which will probably also have a low turn out but its great experience and I will get some more sales.
My advice to anyone starting Partylite - make sure you get the weather onside! Still I can have another party when the weather clears up and invite everyone who couldn't come because of the snow...:pGrowing old is mandatory:

Well done - and you have such a postive attitude - you will go far in this business:beer:
When I started 4years ago at end of Feb, the waether was stormy and snow blizzards, and only 2 people turned up and I had a great time as well.
You need to deal with the set backs and move on as these things happen in our business!I get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -
When the weather is like this, all those people who bought candles on the run up to christmas will be burning them like mad. The colder it gets the more candles people will burn. If they are going out less , they will staying in more and staying warm and cozy ...pefect for candle burning. I'm sure thats why in Scotland they tend to have the largest parties in terms of sales average ....and as for those poor unfortunate people who have no power or light due to power cuts ....their candles will come in very handy. People will be online more and using the social networking sites to see what is going on. What we may find is that this weather whilst making it difficult to do parties could end up being to our advantage. When the weather warms up there maybe an influx of orders from those who have run out of candles and if you rebook hotess's who have cancelled , there may be better attendance when they happen. If you try and stay one step ahead of what is happening that's where you make money , not lose it . Remember when the supermarkets got it badly wrong in the summer by stocking lots of of barbeques, patio furniture and cans of beer? Then it was so wet and cold that all people were thinking about was how to keep warm . Sales of soup and warm clothing went through the roof instead. We need to think about how to turn this weather to our advantage. A friend of mine is doing "virtual parties" via the internet using either MSN or Facebook. Try and re book hostess in the latter half of January or give them an option of collecting orders or doing a book party or virtual party.0

Hi!
Thought I'd say hello! I've just joined PL, had my starter show (& cleared kit!) unfortunately my 1st show cancelled but never mind! So I've decided to use that night to do some phone calls and leaflet drops, has anyone had any success with leaflets through doors?
Ooooo...I've booked in for Nat Conference...looks like so much fun!
Anyway I'm based in Suffolk, anyone else from round here?
Bye!
P.S in case you hadn't guessed mulberry is my fav scent!:j0 -

Youve got the right idea by working on your business if you have a party go down. Its very easy to feel down about parties being cancelled , but by making phonecalls and working on your business this will keep you positive and motivated . I have not done leaflet drops but it is worth a try. Ask at your local community centres etc if you can put up a simple poster about having a party. ( there is a good one you can get from the CBC) Get some cheap business cards printed from somewhere like vistaprint and leave them everywhere. Tell everyone you know what you do. Good luck with it , you have the right attitude and I am sure you will do really well :j0 -
Hi Girls,
I have been a PartyLite Consultant for about 9 months now and am really impressed with what we get. I went to Conference in August and loved every minute of it - I came away so inspired. Sandra was fantastic.
However, the New Year is now here and the bad weather is here with it. I am really struggling to get shows booked in and I am running out of ideas. I feel so unmotivated at the moment with it all and I just dont know what to do. I was hoping to get my own team going at some point but I cant even see that happening right now when I cant get any shows booked in.
HELP!!!:mad:0
