  • Will there be anything left to order at this rate? The number of "stop sell" items is increasing . So many of my hostess's were already gutted that they can't get the ruby red hurricane as a hostess special ( infact that was why they booked a party in the first place) but now there are so many items you can't order now including the peppermint delight pillar holder ( Just sold one last night!!! grrrr) . Anyone else having this problem?

Ladies I really need your partylite help asap!! Please :-)
I am trying to put a party on the system but the CBC will not accept a product code for an item. Its page 46 Hurricane with antique brass hanger. Its saying code P9828 is invalid??? Looks like I will have to wait till Monday to speak to head office and this would be really cutting it fine for me. If anyone has sold one of these (first time for me!!) and had the same problem please let me know. thanks so much xx

  • Just had a very bad experience at a stall/ event that I feel I need to share with you all . Hope that nothing happens to you like this

A few weeks ago we recieved a telesales call from an event planning company based in Maidstone Kent who organise events all over the country . They were doing a three day christmas shopping event in Bristol ( near to us ) and they were selling the last few stall spaces off at a discount ( were £495 , reduced to £200) . The claimed they had spent £20k on advertising including radio, newspapers , flyers, local whats on websites, banners on buse's etc .
We paid for the stall , and decided to split it with other leaders etc .
The event was an absolute disaster , yesterday there was only 30 people through the door . None of the claimed advertising had been done , and there are so many angry stall holders we have decided to take legal action against this company via a solicitor . We were all scammed . The event is meant to be on tommorow , but none of the stall holders are wasting any more of the precious time or money, so won't be there
In all the last 2 years of doing this business this is the first time anything like this has ever happened ( so please don't let it put you off of doing events ) , I just wanted to warn you all to NEVER EVER book or express interest via telesales . Any of the larger good events will have their own website and have a proven rate of success. From now on I will be very careful , and check out everything including where they have advertised , websites etc , I will want proof not just words . I feel so angry about it . Companies like this should never be allowed to get away with it , and I will be making a claim against the company to get my money back and be compensated for the time wasted
  • OMG so sorry to hear you've had this terrible experience. Best of luck with your claim.:grouphug:

The company name is called "Themed events". Apparently all the stall holders are getting together and taking legal action . The event was so bad that today only 40 people attended , 30 for the whole of Friday. Most of the stall holders had packed up by lunchtime including myself and it is meant to be on tommorow too except none of the stall holders will be there . In the two years ive been doing events I have never seen anything like this . The representative of the company was a youngish girl on her own and she was too frightened to even come in the main hall because everyone was so angry . I will keep you all posted as to what happens . We will be ringing head office on monday to complain along with 50 or so other traders . I wouldn't like to be the person who has to deal with all the complaints .
