I take a packed lunch each day which I reckon has a total cost of 80p, including a sandwich, crisps and a couple of chocolate snacks (Kit Kat/Breakaway). (Not the healthiest of lunches, I know.)
I'm quite pleased to have worked that out! Now I just hope my pleasure continues when the results are announced...

What a great offer. I used to spend quite a bit in the subsidised canteen at work, (civil service) somehow thinking it would save me from having to cook at night but I still ended up having a 'proper meal' at night as old habits die so hard, so it was a waste.
Now thanks to a change of job, lifestyle and becoming very downshifty it's a cuppa soup and h-m bread and some fruit.- sometimes h-m soups but they're usually too good for work.
Totalling £1 or sometimes less. Perfectly adequate.

I usually take my food to work as I love cooking anyway, but I spend maybe a pound or 2 a day on fruit or chocolate, coz chocolate is necessary0
