  • I tend to make lunch but never enough and end up buying more...
  • i generally don't have a lot of time to make myself lunch in the mornings, but i stopped buying lunch in the canteen and now get a £1.89 tub of sandwich spread that lasts me the week, takes hardly any time to make sandwiches, with a couple of bits of fruit it's healthier and a massive saving of about £10 a week, costing just over £1 a day! :A
  • hmmm. No idea! Less than usual at the moment as I'm eating apples from the garden. Around a pound maybe. When i worked nearer shops was more like £2.50 - £3 a day.....

Depends. Today is was £7 as we went out for lunch for a colleagues birthday.

Mostly I get something out of the freezer - either frozen left overs (spaghetti bolognese, thai curry, lasagne etc), frozen baked potatoes (much tastier than a purely microwaved one), lately I've been making lots of healthy warming soups from veg I've obtained cheaply.
So usually less than £1. Soups are probably less than 50p

I also buy ready-meals from the chiller cabinet when they're reduced to £1.50 or less and have those for a change sometime.
  • This sounds like a fantastic promo, I spend about £4.00 - £5.00 on lunch daily. Too much I reckon, mabie with one of these sets I may cut back on sandwich bags and water bottle costs! :D
