  • I buy lunch maybe once every couple of weeks when our canteen has nice soup and that costs £1. So on a day-to-day basis, I spend £0!

I usually spend £1 or less on food a day as I usually make a sandwich and have extra bits like cherry tomatos, sugar snaps and ryvita and bring them to work. On Fridays, I treat myself though, but I usually only spend about £3 in the canteen. Usually it's soup and whatever vegetarian stuff they've got. If I go out for lunch, it's never more than £5.

  • Hey hey.....

Lunch....I guess the ammount I spend varies each day.....i.e. if I am home for the weekend then the parents pay and it's FREE =P

However, during the week when I am at Uni, I guesstimate it to be around the region of £2 ish!! But then that depends on what I eat!

In my old job I ate almost every day in the canteen, spending anything between £1.50 to £3 per day!

I changed jobs and the canteen food is now very limited, so have gotten into a routine of making my own lunch and now enjoy thinking up new varieties.
  • Bet I'm the cheapest - approx. 20/25p - I tend to have cereals most days. Daughter puts up a packed lunch every day though so one of these packs would be really useful as a bit of a stocking filler for Christmas!

  • I spend from 40 pence (coffee in staff canteen) up to five pounds ( motorway services sandwich) on lunch a day. It depends on where I am at the time and how much money I have in my pocket.:o
  • Generally pack up a lunch to take to work; cheese and salad roll, fruit etc which I reckon must cost about £1 at most.
  • on average £2
