  • I spend usually between £1-£2 and try as much as possible to bring my lunch in from home. I try to make extra dinner and then bring th leftovers in for lunch!
  • Great giveaway, perfect for my Grandson. I reckon that lunch costs average £3.50per day. Some days I eat lunch in town, sometimes at home so not as cheap as it could be but saves making two trips into town so saves on travelling expenses.:j Annie.
  • About 50p a day Home made soup, oatcakes, home made houmous and an apple from the garden.
  • Take packed lunch to work everyday. Flask would be great for home made soups. Spend about £1 a day, less if using left overs.
  • £2.00 to £3.00 depending on how late tea will be!
  • I go through phases of making my own soup, taking leftover pasta from the previous night etc, but then sometimes have to buy lunch out.

It probably averages out at about £3 a day.
  • what a brilliant idea in the price crunch era would really appreciate one, thank you  :money:
  • Sounds a great idea. I would say I spend about £1-2 as I take lunch from home but often end up buying a drink.
  • From between 50p and £1 a day. It depends if I'm having homemade chicken and noodle soup (yum) or a small can of tomato soup from the shop!

Quite often it's almost entirely free as I chow down on leftovers from dinner the night before (it's amazing how good spaghetti bolognaise or chilli tastes the day after!)

..but on Fridays I tend to give in and splash out £2.50 on pie and chips from the local chippie! ;-)
  • Try to spend as little as possible as baby in the house. Batch cooking & packed lunches make things cheaper. Would love one of these goodie bags.
