Kaupthing Edge Fixed Rate Bonds Broken?

What Jonbvn says makes good sense.
In August I thought the KE Fixed Rate deal was brilliant and put the proceeds of my house sale in it. However, like so many others, when I tried to move it back to the ordinary savings account on 5th October, I missed the boat and the money is still in FTD.
Unlike so many people in other threads it seems to me that ING are doing as much as anyone could expect, given they must be overwhelmed with a tidal wave of customers shouting and screaming at them. (and I, for one, am very grateful indeed that my money has been rescued).
The next stage of this story would seem to be a general lowering of interest rates with a more cautious approach, so it would be interesting to see if ING will be keeping the KE operation separate as at present and still be offering similar long term deals or subsume the whole KE operation into ING.
Given ING seem pretty secure by comparison with the Icelandic banks I could be tempted (but perhaps not all in one place this time!)0 -
My fixed term has been broken!!!
Is it wise to do a transfer now? or it would get stuck in queue?0 -
