Welshlassie, how much did it cost?
BTW, for anyone thinking of getting energy saving bulbs, they were on offer in Morrisons at 5 for 50p a couple of weeks ago. Anyone know if they still are?
£2.98
B&Q also had 7 energy Savings bulbs for £5 (not quite the same as the Morrison ones) thought they were quite a good price (unless someone can tell me otherwise)0 -

Hi,
Been a lurker for a long, long time...but this is one challenge I would love to join in with. Def need to make cut backs and this is one area where I think there is plenty of room to do so.

Most difficult bit now will be trying to continue as "normal" this week....looking forward to staring next week.£10 a day in September £23.97/£3000 -

Is anyone else finding it really difficult to use 'normal' electricity? Now I've started thinking about it, I'm seeing things all over the house that are wasting power and dying to turn them off - it seems daft not to, but I know in the long run that by leaving things the way they are for one week and being able to actually quantify the waste I'll be more motivated to reduce it.0 -
Welcome seese75, good luck!
loopymadlover, have signed you up, hope you can make sense of the meter! I think a lot of them are being changed at the moment, they did ours a little while ago and a few people here have mentioned new meters.0 -

Yes! I have 2 normal light bulbs that I've never got round to changing and my ancient freezer needs defrosting - they are calling out to be sorted but I'm not doing it till next week. It's turning into a test of willpower :rotfl:
