Yes, I agree with you. I find many large websites aren't very clearly thought out, mainly because there are many people working on the site at any one time and they all have different ideas about how certain parts should be.gizmoleeds wrote:I agree, but ebay should make it easier to report someone. I eventually got my way through to the "Security Centre" where there was no option to report a suspicious auction, so I clicked on "other" but then the page was supposedly giving me options but the boxes were blank and "Continue" wouldn't work so I gave up.

Some people can't understand that just because they know how to use it (because they built it), not everyone else does...
The Argos site is very similar in the light of ease of access.

Shouldn't he have updated his eBay registration information to his "apparent" new address?Pete.g wrote:First of all, the car will be shipped from Torino, Italy where I`m located due to my job
Yes, obviously eBay have been on the look out again (I am sure they are pretty vigilant in the Motors area) or someone has reported it. Thanks for trying to report it gizmoleeds!wigginsmum wrote:I've tried to access the item (because I'm nosy) and it's been removed.

Yep. Like this site has a simple "report post" button on each post - reporting a post takes just a couple of clicks.tigermatt wrote:Yes, I agree with you. I have just today reported another bad listing on ebay (apple mac from a US account previously only used for buying, same "contact me by email only" provision) and can tell you that it involves:
Clicking on "help", "security centre", choose "report other problem", "continue", choose the three appropriate options in the relative boxes - which are:
Box 1: "Report a listing policy violation or prohibited (banned) item"
Box 2: "Fraudulent listings (illegal seller demands, you didn't receive item, etc)"
Box 3: "Report a listing you think is fraudulent (you didn't bid)"
Then click continue and enter the item number, and then click "continue" for the final time!
In future I may not bother. :mad:0 -
Yes, it does sound rather complicated. Now, imagine what it would be like for a first time user...gizmoleeds wrote:In future I may not bother.

It is also rather odd considering that dodgy auctions have resulted in some very bad publicity for ebay - you'd think they would want to make it as easy as possible to report these scamsters who are giving them a bad name....tigermatt wrote:Yes, it does sound rather complicated.
