I know as someone who's been paid out, its easy for me to say "Don't Worry" but I got a further call at 7pm this evening from Julian - Customer Service Director - had a good chat about the events of the last few weeks and whilst he declined to go in to detail, he did offer further assurance that the remainding money will be paid very very soon indeed.
Sorry for you guys who feel like !!!!!! right now, but be assured (via me) that your cash is coming!
I made the point that "I don't know" sounds horrendous when you're talking about peoples life savings and that actually it might have been better to say "Right everyone, it's going to take 5 weeks to take control of this mess and we aim to return your deposits in that time" - and then do, as they have done today, return the money in 2 weeks. At least everyone would just have to accept it, where "as soon as possible" to some people is very much open to interpretation, depending on how reasonable the client is.0 -
For fear of wading through 42 pages of posts.......
now the CHAPS payments are going through as BACS payments, does that mean we are still going to be charged £20 for a so far 13 day transfer??

For those less familiar with forum slang, Wikipedia has following definition:-
"A troll is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion."
I may be wrong but think one or more may have followed us from previous thread. Best advice if you spot one is don't respond and just add them to your "ignore list".CHAPS 7/10 RECEIVED 20/10 NAT WEST0 -

One poster even suggested in a sycophantic manner, that I worked for ING because I stated that both my BACS payments had been made, subsequent to the ING takeover. I have enough dignity not to name and shame him (or replicate his photo), he knows who he is, without me doing that. If anyone here thinks they are being singled out by a Dutch giant by not getting paid, I suggest he/she has another look at the universe and revises who is at the centre of it.
Dry your eyes !!!!!!. :rolleyes:0 -

Should add that I don't think any of you will have difficulty spotting the troll. For those less familiar with forum slang, Wikipedia has following definition:-
