  • Hi Sarah

i am resigned to the fact now we have to go, we just can not justify staying here £750.00 (without areas) a month mortgage to live in an ex council house, we can rent one down the road on a private estate detached in better condition for 550.00. We have 22.5 years left on the mortgage so can't struggle on like this for that amount of time. We can't remortgage as we have no equity and a c/o of nationwide , that was one of debts on the DMP. So i think a fresh start, but would of liked time to try to sell it as we could maybe maybe by the skin of our teeth get enough to cover the mortgage back. And if they sell it they'll get next to nothing back and we will be left with a big shortfall, and then both me and my hubby would be bankrupt.

  • We are on a dmp with cccs paying £100 a month. Our gas has gone up by 30% and our electric by 20% so obviously we are now short. I heard that £100 is the lowest you can pay on a dmp, is this correct?
Also we have gotten into £42 of arrears with sky (no longer with them now) can i add this to the dmp or should i just try to sort an agreement seperately as its such a small amount?

You will need to call us for a review of your account to make sure that your instalment is an affordable amount for you. The minimum you are paying really depends on the account as every budget is different. If your instalment does reduce, we will discuss alternative options with you that may be more suitable.

  • Hello, we are with CCCS (THANKYOU! you have been fantastic!!!)
Our creditors (RBS) didnt accept our £1 token payment, and have now threatened a default, and to take us to court. The two loans are unsecured (£5000 and £6700) We have about £100 disposable income at the end of the month (no debt repayments included). That is to feed two adults and a child. Mortgage eats up all partners wages.
Any advice re RBS? The payments come to £300 a month.
Thanks again, you really have been great!

  • Hello there,
I am having a problem with TDM (tamarisk) debt recovery acting for NatWest. Despite my standing order being paid they are continually hassling for more.About 10/11 years ago I was in severe financial trouble but thanks to the CAB i am in a far better situation now but still stretched.
This debt to the Natwest was subject to a CCJ,my main question is,can they demand an increase in payment on a CCJ?I have been paying this with no problems for about 10 years now.TDM do not answer the phone at all (indeed I think it may be disconnected).I would really appreciate your advice...Many thanks.

    Hi Bunty,

Can not be 100% sure without seeing your account, however I would guess it would start from the 1st of December. If you needed to delay the start date of the DMP you will need to contact the Debt Remedy Support team. I will PM you their number to discuss this in more detail.

    Good luck with your DMP!

    Sarah
