Just got online as we've been playing with the Wii since 5pm when I got back home again. It is so much fun so I was really laughing as I read the limericks, then came across your one above CheekyI've already rung mum & told it to her over the phone & she loved it too!
I'm hoping that mine will show a pretty weight loss graph over the next few weeks *fingers crossed*Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -

First time i've been on here all day, we've had a nightmare 24 hours. Our lo came down with a really high temperature last night and then was up most of the night because of it. Then today I managed to get an out of hours gp appointment and found out she's got tonsilitus! BUT the problem we have is that she won't take medicine, she never has and so we've never been able to give her calpol etc. I asked the doc for antibiotic tabs instead thinking i could crush them and add them to her food but that didn't work. I'm going to have to contact him tomorrow and get another prescription for anti b liquid but i know we'll never get it down her. Failing all that, she'll have to go into hospital on an iv anti b drip.
Poor wee thing, have you tried one of those dummies that you can put medicine in? I know when my LO was ill at 2 week old & needed antibiotics (which we then found out she had a major allergic reaction to the penicillin in it ) the chemist gave us a syringe to get it in her mouth, could you try that either?2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -

We've tried the syringe but that didn't work. We've tried everything, bribery, chocolate etc. I've not come across one of those dummies though. The problem with her mainly is the taste, as soon as she gets a tiny taste thats it. We've even held her down so she's screaming and tried to put it in her mouth but then she starts gagging and brings it back. We've run out of options I think.

How about putting it in her juice/milk etc? Unfortunately she won't eat jelly, she's very fussy! To try and get her to take her tablet before we tried to mix it into ice cream, chocolate, fruit, even icing but it still didn't work.
She drinks milk or water and we've tried that but as soon as she gets one taste thats it! I wish these companies would invent flavourless medicine!!

Evening all ... disappeared for a while to eat and watch x factor
my dog LOVES fireworks ... he wants to be in the garden watching them all :rotfl: but I've lied and said he's scared so I can stay in and relax instead of going to a house party
naughty melvis!! It's the only night I have left to relax and catch up on sleep though before another week of work so I don't feel too guilty
OH has just set off for the party so house to myself!!
