W1zz wrote:I ordered a full system from Argos yesterday over the phone. I called back twice yesterday to confirm order was good. And both replies were yes. The 2nd time they sugested I called today as they order/reserve from a supplier who releases it to them within 24hrs of order. That way I should know the pysical box exists and is sat in their warehouse.
I called early this evening and they confirmed that my order was still good and I had a box sat in their warehouse ready to be packed and delivered Monday.

Rodanmk2 - I don't think people are insane because they are choosing to buy from ebay - what they do want is to guarantee getting it for Christmas, some might say they shouldn't bow to the pressure from the kids or whatever makes them want it so much but it's a matter of personal choice at the end of the day.
They are unlikely to get it in the shops though - as you said there will be some but it will probably involve a lot of time and effort and perhaps even more disappointment as there will be very few of them out there. It was the same with PS2 slimline last year.0 -

Hi, I wasn't trying to be insulting to anyone, apologies if it came accross like that.
Just don't want to see everyone paying £370+ for a core only to discover that if you are quick enough and have a bit of luck, you can get one for retail price.
I am desperate to get one too, but thanks to this forum should have one coming this Monday for normal price.
I would just hate to see someone spend so much and then see stock in shop the week after. That is a lot of money to waste this time of year especially.

Wow that is the most expensive xbox bundle ever. It does not even come with a hard disk. Would have looked better if they added the Xbox premium but even still they might have charged £1500 for the privilege.0 -
especially when the TV can be bought elsewhere for less than £580 delivered -0

Just thinking from somewhere else that I read (along these lines). Buy such a bundle and return what items you don't want from the bundle (as there is no financial benefit from buying this bundle). It would seem that Dixons/Currys aren't offering any single discount - so return the Tv and you have a "market priced CORE360 Bundle" ??________________________________________
