OH has just called to 'tell' me he wants a lift at midnight after the Oasis concert and the fact he is going drinking with his DS before the concert starts.
I've 'told' him that as I was considerate enough to buy a ticket for him and his son rather than me going with him, I'm spending the evening on my own with a bottle of wine and he can make his own arrangements to get back.
He said 'you've always got a bottle of wine in the fridge when I want a lift because you just don't want to come out'..........no (I thought).........I just think you need to stop using me as a taxi service and put your hand in your own pocket rather than always using my fuel and get yourself a taxi back........
Apparently my refusal makes me selfish........well, so be it........."Stay Wonky":D

BB - methinks you should join the ranks of newly single people...not wanting to demean anything anyone is going through on here, BUT he does sound like an idiot!

I think I ferry him around enough as it is to and back from the club and off to pubs etc at the drop of the hat (and at all hours of the night) and I shall tell him so when he turns up for the tickets. I'm all for not paying for taxis unless necessary but he is taking the mick, he's arranged a lift there with a friend of his sons (a girl who likes his son, if she's that keen ask her to come out at midnight in the rain!!), he's got the tickets for free, if he has a few beers that's up to him but if he can afford to 'get pished before it even starts' he can afford a £10 taxi back between him and his DS. Apparently if she hadn't have offered he'd have been wanting a lift there also.
No doubt there will be much sticking out of bottom lip and mutterings of how selfish I am but I ams sticking to my guns. I would never consider asking him all the time to taxi me around to and from my social events!"Stay Wonky":D

oh...........am I??
Remember when I was full of cold just over a week ago? He even phoned at 1 in the morning and got me out of bed because he wanted a lift home. I said no because I didn't feel well and he didn't believe me, even though he'd seen me unwell earlier in the dayI went to get him just to prove a point but shouldn't have done, I kind of 'drive-floated' there........
