I think the 3rd quarter GDP figures out today will show impressive growth and prove all those Jezebel pundits wrong.
Recovery, not recession. Think positive! There's more than one "R" word.
And more tips for feeling good
We don't listen to the IMF around here as they don't know what they're talking about!
We won't check the stock markets
And we won't listen to what the BBC has to say about the 3rd quarter "growth" figures0 -
Well the IMF are just being silly!
Don't they know that banks are as "safe as houses!""This site is addictive!"

Breaking News
Excitement raced through city brokers dealing rooms this morning with an almost definite but unconfirmed rumour of the launch of a new hedge fund.
Mr and Mrs Clatworthy of 30481 Long Lane, Long Eaton are looking for investors in their Leylandii Fund.
The aggressive leylandii shrub has been growing uncontrolled on their 1/4 acre plot and now occupies the utility room of their two bedroom bungalow. They said the fund would finance removal of the intruder and could provide work for thousands over many years.
One cautious dealer said it would be difficult to place a value on the fund but could be billions. " It's a new concept in hedge funds as it finances the tangible combined with the useful. We are still trying to understand it"
Shares surged on the news and city suicide rates dropped off their all time high from last week.

The Chancellor is expected to announce plans to rescue the housing market. To complement the recommendation for banks to return to 2007 levels of lending the Govt. is considering a suspension of bank boardroom bonuses for at least the next 12 months. This will be paid to the Treasury in lieu of dividends and interest for Govt stakes in the banking system
A Treasury spokesperson said,” This will enable us to increase the minimum wage to £25k p.a. for a 22yr old. With responsible lending of no more than 8x salary it puts the average bed-sit within the grasp of many and will kick start the market. It will be self financing”
At £5.23ph the minimum wage provides a gross of £11918 for a 40hr week. This will have to be increased to £12ph or 109.42% to achieve £25k pa.
Treasury figures for 2006/7, (latest available), show that the banks paid 623,000 personnel bonuses of 100k or more, totalling over 62bn.
The spokesperson added, “Since the credit crunch we have leaner, fitter banks and expect the bonus figure to drop by as much as 2-3%, but it will still be viable. The cost will be about the same as Northern Rock but much cheaper. The public were amazed at that action and we expect the same warm reaction to this”
If successful The Treasury will consider extending the scheme to those claiming Job Seekers Allowance. With unemployment approaching 2 million and rising, they say they have carefully done their sums and calculate that by putting them on the minimum wage the cost will be negligible. They will no longer be paid J.S.A. and this will disqualify them from additional benefits.
It is not thought that a requirement to have a job will be necessary as this might put a strain on small business. They denied their thinking and figures were muddled.
Estate agents reactions were muted. One who wanted to remain anonymous, Wayne Slygit of Conall and Foxem Agency, said,” It’s too little too late. The numbers they are talking won’t even cover the winter utility bills for the office.”
