Oh please Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Every room looked like a cheap theatrical back drop - AWFUL.0

That's why it was funny.
Like a bad grown up version of Blue Peter. What can we make today with a tin of lurid paint, a sponge, one sheet of mdf, a pack of fairy lights and 3 dust sheets?

That awful one where they changed a living room into a baronial hall or something - omg. I wonder how long any of their decorations actually remained up.0

Ah, I can see there are one or two problems I hadn't thought of!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
-
Hmm, possibly a larger than average decrease in the value of your home

I'm fairly sure these makeover programmes don't actually do it all for free anyway. I seem to remember reading something about the use of the licence fee somewhere and the BBC defending these kind of programmes saying that although the labour is provided as part of the programme making, the householders do pay for the materials.0

No, please don't do it!!!!!
One of my former colleagues had her house done over by one of the make over programmes and she spent a fortune putting it right afterwards. It did look very good on TV, but you would not believe the short-cuts. For example, they made it look like she had leaded windows by hand painting sheets of acetate and then sticking them to the window with double sided tape. Oh, and they will paint over wallpaper, use hideous MDF everywhere and generally provide a bad finish because it doesn't show up on TV. Finally, to add insult to injury, they invoiced her for a contribution towards the work they had done. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

one of mr divadees old work mates had diy sos round his house. He was the postman in bournemouth whos suffering wife had to use a hose to do the washing up in the kitchen.
They did a fantastic job, top notch quality and still going years later. He said the filming was fantastic as the whole team were a great laugh.
But i notice on the new series of diy sos it is the stories they are going for now, not just that you mucked up your house.
I want ty from extreme makeover to do my house, knock it down and start again!!0
