Morning all,

Just to update you on our dresses as I know I promosed pics! Have managed to persuade my mums friend to alter my dress, take the lilac beads off (what the heck was that about?), and shorten DD's bridesmaid dress. I've been for a fitting with her, and have left the dresses there, but she's very busy dressmaking at the moment, so wont get them back for at least 3-4 weeks. I'm so happy I managed to find someone, and I trust her completely....so just bear with me for pics!

Also, just got what looks like an invoice from DHL for £3.64 import tax. My dresses were described as 'lady knitting dress' and valued at $38 (they were actually $500!!!!!) - thing is it doesnt say how / who to pay. There's no address or anything! Might call them later....phew!

I got one of these from them, but i don't think is a bill, as there is no details of how to pay. please let me know what they say, i don't want them to be chasing me for a couple of quid, lol.

Does Landy only do dresses off the site or will she custom make something if you submit pics?

Landy will custom make a dress if you send them decent pics. They''re pretty good about getting back to you with prices. They'll also make it in other fabrics too (satin, silk, taffetta etc) and even other colours too.

Yes they custom make from piccies. They are doing that for me right now. They will then send you a quote and details of what materials they are going to use and how they will make it.

Love the colour of the bridesmaid dresses and your wedding dress is quite similar to the one I had from Landy with the lace, train and beading. You will look amazing

I found a dress today that i really loved! But out of our price range! Feeling very low about it. Hoping Landy may be my savior but with only 9 weeks till wedding do you think it would be cutting it fine?

How long have your dresses taken to get to you from order date?

About 6 weeks for me - that was for a dress not from their site plus a bridesmaid dress. I'd be tempted to email ask to find out what their current turnaround time is?
