  • Littlemadam, yours is so pretty. Love all the sparkle detail on the train.

1 week over and done though! Our wedding is April, so plan B is to find the money for the real thing if it comes to that. But from all the feedback on here, I reckon we should be safe. For that kind of money it's worth the risk.... I hope!!
  • HI there,

i am a newbie but have read through most of this thread and the dresses look fab. I'm getting married on Aug 14th 2010 and don't have a huge budget I have fallen in love with a dress but it has been quoted anything from £860 to £1040, which is way out my budget unless i don't have any guests!!!! I have been researching Landy bridal and Light in the box for dresses and I have found my dress on Landy bridal for 165 Euro!!! Woo HOO. I am due to try the original on tomorrow at a bridal shop, its Maggie Sottero Mona lisa and is on Landy as dress number HS5025. Sorry tried to post a link but as a newbie not allowed.

Has anyone else ordered this dress in the past or know of anyone who has. I am just worried about the detail on the dress, as you can see it has a lot and just wanted to check that it is as embellished or as near as the photo.

Can anyone also give me any advice on what petticoat or hooped underskirt this dress may need?

After reading the other comments i have total faith in Landy but would just like to get a bit of feedback for this particular dress if possible.

    Thanks

    Denise

    Sorry for all the questions!:D

Have you tried any dresses on yet???

If not my advice is to try loads on cos the one I had fell in love with in a magazine didn't suit me whan I tried it on  typical. I eventually tried a dress on which actually wasn't what I wanted but as soon as I put it on I fell in love, my chief bridesmaid cried so that told me something

Good luck. BTW I am toying with the idea to buy from MIlly Bridal I have been quoted £225 and my dress is £1210 in a shop near me

Thanks so much chelbel, i went onto Milly bridal and seen the actual dress that they have made of the Maggie Sottero, it lookd Stunning. It is nearly £100 more but i'm thinking about milly now as i have seen what i am getting even if it is just a phot and the detail is fantastic on the dress it looks exactly the same. :D

I am going to try on the original dress at a bridal shop today so hopefully i love it just as much on me!:D

  • Hi peeps,

    I hope there are some experienced Landy brides still readiing this thread!! I have a question;

I am a plus size, and was wondering if it is advisable to wear a corset to hide my lumps and bumps. The dresses in the shops were AMAZING at covering them up and pulling me in, but I am unsure as to whether the Landy dress will have the same effect.

If anyone has any recomendations that would be fab! I am looking at the Gok Wan range but nervous about spending too much xxx
  • Hi everyone.

We are getting married in summer 2010. I have always had a dream of a baby pink wedding dress.

Does Landybridal make any of the dress to a custom colour?

There are so many lovely dresses but can't see many pink ones

Has anyone got any links to any pink wedding dresses?

    :rotfl:

Hiya - i would 100% reccomend wearing a steel boned corset - i ordered mine from ebay -
    search: corset-junction
    i payed £35.00 i believe
and it doesnt half pull you in and give you that amaxing hour glass figure!!
they are long in the body too - so smooths everything out

    xx

  • Thanks MissK that is really helpful info. The wedding corset they do is beautiful, only thing is they also cover the bust, and I fear it will force my boobs up to my chin!!

Will look for underbust steel ones, so if anyone has any ideas that would be fab xxxxxxx
