Deep joy...according the surveyor our walls arn't suitable for cavity wqll insulation because we have two old chimney breasts with rubble in them. He was very nice and very polite but said that they couldn't guarantee the work as there would be spots of differing tempretures which would cause problems for us later down the line. I'm quite suprised at his honesty...would definately recommend them to anyone in the south wales area, Thankfully the house isan't really cold yet anyway, so its not a problem, we'll just make the loft insulation even thicker.Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative!0

Right i have had my scan, everything looks ok and my coil is still in place. No strings. I now have to have an hysterscopy ti remover it. As my appointment wasn't until 16 december i went and asked if i could maybe get an earlier slot due to bleeding for so long. Well good news i have got one for next tuesday thats 7 weeks earlier, i may just have this coil out for xmas now!!!:j
Whilst at the hospital i saw my aunt she had just been to see the specialist who is now referring her as he is not sure about doing an hysterectomy but doing chemo instead. Not sure if thats a good sign or not! The hospital she has now been referred is a very good hospital too. So fingers crossed xx

Hi everyone
We were running late for school so I said to jump in the car and we'd drive to Nanan's and run the last bit. Got in the car, key in ignition.....click click click argh flat battery  cue very fast walk/run to school! We got there in time just.
So spent ages ringing round and finding a battery for the car this morning. Then went shopping to morrisons, got extra gardening vouchers for schoolplus 5p/litre off petrol for £40 spend (spent £46) and took some flowers to DH, it was lovely and bright up there.
About to do the afternoon school run, A has messy church this afternoon and W has swimming lesson so I will see you all this evening prob after the restaurant. :wave:Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
In my HHC I deep cleaned the bathroom - it is no longer green with mould - just green and hideous. Help please, the blind is mouldy (and green and hideous) and I want to replace it. Do I need to buy a 'special' bathroom blind or can I just buy a normal Dunelm cheapo? The window it is on will shortly cease to be part of the bathroom and will be in DS2s bedroom so working life not an issue.
Mr T due between 3 and 5 so I have to stay downstairs now. We have lived here for 22 months and we still haven't fixed the door bell!?! Anyone up for a 3.15-3.45 then?
Chunky, good news on the appointment. I hate waiting for stuff.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

It was me chunky, and I still think you're doing brilliant keeping upbeat, some people would let the kids get them down even more, so it's great that you are enjoying them too... they seem lovely...
Sorry, when I read the beginning bit first I thought you were going to have a hysterectomy to remove it, thought that was a bit drastic  , really pleased that you are in Tuesday though - you sound like you need this done asap... enjoy the bed rest while you can and special hugs to your aunt...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Hi A&W - before you go buying a new battery, check you haven't left the radio/lights on or that it's not something simple first (like the door being left open - done that before myself) could save you a few pennies.... good luck!LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
