Kitchen now down to 12 degrees... which explains why I don't feel like cleaning it

Ironing finished as last... just in time to make room for tomorrow's batch of laundry. Hopefully the weather will be like it was today, but it usually rains if I'm working from home.

Think I might have to give in and put the heating on tomorrow, which is a pity, as I was hoping to hold out longer - last year I had no heating until mid-November, as the kitchen was being redone and I had three radiators missing, but I don't think its worth it if I'm not going to get anything done.

Off for a bath now to warm up :D

    Evening all,

Not managed to post much over the last couple of day but can say that the kids and OH managed Mondays list right up to Level 3 - OH was going to post but didnt know my password and I was home late last night and out first thing this morning so didnt get a chance to tell him or post how well they did.

havent read through much of the thread but

Your garage clear is it?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No... anyone want a white enamel kitchen sink & drainer (50cm deep) with supataps? :D

Or some solid pine kitchen units? :D

Or a small pull-out kitchen bin (fits in a 20cm space), slightly battered, rather grubby, but works very well :D

Can't do anything about the boxes of junk until the friend who owns some of the contents returns from holiday

I do have LOTS of cake tins in the DW though... I'm sure Polka needs lots of different kinds and sizes ;)

jjef - if your OH is going to do the flying, you should at least let him post under his own name - or were you planning on taking all the credit ;)

Pigpen - meant to say, thanks for the tip about washing mooncups in the DW. It came up a treat! I also noticed you put your WM drawer in there, and tried that too. Great idea... Clearly we need a top tips list as well as the cleaning products spreadsheet Valli's going to create. In fact, maybe a rival to the Flylady website (except then we'd have to think of a new name, at which point everything would fall apart :p )
  • Greenbee - if you still have those sparkly bits can I have them - will pm you the details. And dont panic if you see my light still on after 11 - i am just editing a couple of ebays and the pc is slow.
get some of that stuff on freecycle and get rid of it if you are not selling it??

It's pretty lucky that you do with your week so far... sometimes that can be all you have to get you through, stern stuff or not... Take care Pigpen and know that we are all thinking of you and are here if you want a good laugh or just that moan you need to get out..

Not sure what to say about your DS - I'm sure you're stuck between a rock and a hard place with that one... will your DH come round at all? And serious about the 'shed' bit - not a shed as such, but loads of people are getting those summerhouse things with all mod cons (well, electric and plumbing) in the garden for their kids who can't afford to move out - would that be an option?

    EDIT: And definitely no-ones mug...

    thank you.. :D

hubby won't come round but it will be a case of 'like it or lump it' I am not having them dossing god knows where.. at least here I know they (ds1) is somewhere safe... hubby can go sing.. soprano!
Pigpen - my thoughts and prayers are with your stepdad. I know what it is like to lose a younger brother unexpectedly - I have tears in my eyes now thinking about it.

thank you.. and big hugs for you too..
