    Hello all

not caught up but am needing to do some flying today as only managed bathroom and kitchen this week, plus pretty much kept up with washing so not too bad considering!

Pigpen's friday list looks perfect for me so I'll do that plus a couple of bits. Not dressed yet but need to get a letter in the post so I better quickly shower & dress before starting the list. DH is doing a mock exam so I don't want to hoover yet but that can wait til this aft, plenty of quiet bits to keep me going!

still haven't seen Mamma Mia, was meant to go with MiL but we've not managed it, might just wait til the dvd, in fact i'll add it to the lovefilm list now ;) DH will be thrilled!

And whilst I remember....I'm a Capricorn, not sure what that means, not really into stars or anything, though a friend with the same birthday as me has very similar characteristics as me!

And my DH is ok at helping out but he just doesn't seem to notice things like I do. For instance last night he complained as i'd finished the loo roll and not changed it (not like me!) but I have to keep reminding him to take his cup/glass/ plate into the kitchen when he leaves the room or whatever....and yet i come into the lounge this morning and there's his breakfast bowl. I blame the fact his mum would happily clear all his carp away....please please ladies with boys, teach them how to do stuff for themselves!

West kitchen window done inside and out and the associated windowledge. Bedding on the line drying in the breeze and another load about to go out. Just having a cuppa before I tackle the east kitchen window.

  • Soappie -that must be lovely in your kitchen - you get the morning and evening sun. I've got loads of windows in kitchen extension but it's still pretty dark and cold cause they're all north facing

In my HHC (which turned into an hour so you were not on your own JJef) I put the WM on, emptied the DW, cleaned the fillers and put on a cleaning wash, I sorted the clothes from the TD. DH has gone to get some wood to fill in the hole in the kitchen ceiling/our BR cupboard floor where the second staircase was so I have removed the carpet, some very old lino and henryed the remaining muck. Quite excited about this as this is the first step to our en suite! Later on I have to knock down a wall with a lump hammer

Oooooh Hex, can I come and help? Pleeeeeese, I love knocking down walls... when we lived in our own home, I was forever moving stuff about, changing door entries, knocking sheds into part of the house, etc (old house, loads of little outhouses and quirks)... I was known as demolition denise...:D

Even in the first temporary house we had after we lost ours, I knocked down the built in cupboards in the lounge. They housed the hot air heating units that no longer worked and the council came and removed it because it had asbestos in it - so I thought that I might as well remove the cupboards (massive waste of space, no room in them, just loads of little compartments) as they were useless now - they never said anything and must have thought the asbestos guys did it... ;)

I also blew myself off a chair by cutting through a live electric wire they told me had been disconnected...:rotfl: Moral of this story, never believe the council on ANYTHING! They had left it hanging from the ceiling, wires out, etc, so I cut it back to tuck in... Have kept the small set of wire cutters with the hole blown out of the middle of it in my tool box to remind me to always check myself first from now on! I was fine by the way, actually more fell off the chair from the bang and was very lucky, but recommend anyone else doing something like that check first themselves...

Likkle, I get the midday sun too as there's the window on the south wall as well which I cleaned yesterday. It's an extension with three outside walls and is my most favourite room in the house
