I got a 1.2 kg tin to put aside for christmas, but decided to have a look inside. You won't believe this!!!
there were only 3, yes 3 coconut eclairs. There were about 100 of them green things that nobody likes and the purple wrapper on them nutty ones is the most hideous shade this year.
Anybody think I can get compensation if I write a snotty letter to Nestle citing mental distress or something?
I'll definitely be buying Roses from now on.
Angry of Aberdeen.

I don't think you need to cite mental distress. Just say that you expected the variety you paid for, and not an inordinate quantity of just ONE type. Make the letter sound very disappointed and express the doubt you will ever buy Quality Street again. That should prompt a satisfactory response. If not, tell them you will definitely go Roses from now on.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

I've managed to get the odd treat out of companies for penning them a short, tongue-in-cheek letter which I think amused them somewhat.
I got a box of 48 packets of Seabrook Crisps for letting on how disappointed I was about the change from plastic to foil packaging.
I also got a box of Fabulous Bakin' Boys cupcakes after complaining there were only five in the box of 6 I bought.
Both were genuine, but I sent an amusing letter to them, and I think they "rewarded" me for putting the bit of extra effort in.
By the way, I love the green and purple Quality Streets, send em to me!#145 Save £12k in 2016 Challenge: £12,062.62/£12,000.00 Beginning Balance: £5,027.78 CHALLENGE MET

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
