  • newbe here, but i have to say i class my self as disabled as i have a hip disorder, which has put me through 3 operations up to now. also i am going to have to have a hip replacement and im on 29. i have one leg shorter than the other by 4 n half cm. to which i have to have my shoes adapted and soles inserted, but i have been declined disability by authorities. i have numerious jobs that i have had to give up due to it taking to much of a strain on my hip and back as oviously my back takes alot of punishment due to the difference in leg length.

so why is it i cant be classed as disabled,

I'm trying to work out if I'm covered by the DDA due to my mental health. however can't work out if I'm covered.

If it is substantial, long term and affects your day-to-day activities, yes.

Well, if you get DLA, it is likely to fit the above criteria, so again yes, you are disabled.
