Upgrading to BT Broadband

Currently I am on btyahoo surftime 24/7. I am planning to buy a new computer after Xmas and upgrade to broadband. I am not sure how to go about it. Do I have to set my new computer on bt surftime first and then contact bt to upgrade to broadband or could I just phone bt and get broadband directly on the new computer. If I do not have to do anything on the new computer to get broadband, that will suit me fine as I am bit concerned about re-installing the bt surftime. Thanks.

Would it maybe worth using your old computer with your present connection untill get the broadband setup? When you get your confirmation email that the broadband is up and running, then set your new computer up to use this (they should give you instructions). This way you will only have to setup one lot of connection details on your new computer. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
